Full Time Psychologist
who specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy

The TAP Clinic is accepting applications for a full-time psychologist (PhD or PsyD) to join our team (start date negotiable). Job responsibilities include:

Provide primarily individual therapy for adults, but also for youth, couples, or families depending on interest and expertise. Individual therapy will include DBT (~50%) and potentially another evidence based treatment based on interest and expertise. DBT work may include both individual and group DBT.

Participate on DBT consultation team.

Provide CBT or other evidence-based therapies based on relevant training and experience.

Participate in our training program by providing supervision and didactic training.

Conduct some initial intakes for new DBT clients and/or for referrals that are in the applicant’s area of expertise outside of DBT.
Successful applicants will: (1) hold a PhD or PsyD from an APA-accredited institution, including having completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship; (2) have completed intensive/foundational training in DBT or the equivalent; (3) be DBT-LBC certified or planning to submit for DBT-LBC certification; (4) have experience providing DBT, including running skills groups; (5) be licensed or license-eligible in North Carolina; (6) have interest in providing supervision and training to graduate students and post-doctoral fellows.
Our ideal applicant will also have training and experience in treating trauma. Preference will be given to a psychologist with experience treating racial trauma or who has experience with and interest in working with racially diverse populations. We would also be delighted to recruit a psychologist who brings an additional area of expertise to our team. We are particularly interested in someone trained in one (or more!) of the following areas: self-compassion, eating disorders, OCD, autism, ADHD, and/or transgendered individuals.
